Life on a houseboat in the heart of London

London is not just a city, it is a living organism pulsating with the energy of people from all over the world. Its diversity, constant movement and creative atmosphere have influenced my work more than I could have imagined at first.

When I arrived here, I immediately understood why London is considered one of the main artistic capitals. Every street, every neighborhood and every person you meet carries a different story, a different culture, a different perspective. The city is a huge kaleidoscope of nationalities and lifestyles - from traditional English communities to immigrants from India, Pakistan, the Caribbean and the Middle East, to artists and creatives from all over the world. This fusion of cultures fascinated me and was naturally reflected in my work.

The London art scene and my exhibitions

London offers endless possibilities for artists. It is a city where on one side there are prestigious galleries like the Tate Modern and the Saatchi Gallery , and on the other side, neighborhoods like Shoreditch , where creativity knows no bounds. I have had the opportunity to exhibit my work in Shoreditch , where you can feel the raw energy of street art and independent galleries, but also in Chelsea , where art meets elegance and exclusivity.

Life and work on the water: Limehouse Marina

My London home wasn't a traditional flat or studio. I lived on a houseboat in Limehouse Marina , one of the marinas on the River Thames. It was completely different from anything I had experienced before. London is hectic and chaotic, but on the water I found my own peace and space to create.

During sunny days, I painted on the roof of the ship, where I had the best studio – under the open sky, overlooking the calm waters of the harbor. When the weather was bad, I moved to the captain's cabin , where I continued to work, surrounded by wooden walls and the gentle rocking of the ship.

Living on the water has given me a new perspective on art and life itself. The River Thames is the soul of London – it connects old and new, history with modernity, urban bustle with nature. And that’s exactly how my work is: it connects the different influences, emotions and experiences I’ve had in London.

London taught me that art has no boundaries. It is a city that gave me the space to explore, experiment and find my own voice.
