Rome is not just a city—it is a living memory of the world, where history merges with the unique Mediterranean light and a timeless aesthetic. The atmosphere of the Eternal City and Roman mythology became the main impulse for my new sculpture series. The central motif for me became Venus, a symbol of love, beauty, and natural female strength, which I translated into a modern, expressive form full of dynamics. Studying sculpture was a clear goal and a true heart’s desire for me. Capturing form in a three-dimensional space is an incredible challenge, and modeling 3D objects is far more complex than creating in two dimensions. Beyond the initial shaping of clay, both during my studies and in my ongoing practice, I mastered the complex world of casting technologies. Creating plaster, silicone, or Lukopren molds requires precise technical steps and logical planning.

Nature is an extraordinary source of energy, but there are places where its force truly resonates deep within you. Traveling along the western coast of Portugal was precisely that kind of experience for me. The journey from Porto in the north, through iconic Nazaré, fairytale Sintra, the westernmost point of continental Europe at Cabo da Roca, historic Lisbon, and down to the southern beaches of Lagos and Faro left a profound mark on me.
